Our main variety is "Ziraat 900", or "Turkish Napoleon" as it is recognised internationally. Turkish Napoleon cherries as are considered the finest quality in the world. It is big in size, has aromatic, crunchy flesh, very high quality. We also offer the standard Napoleon variety cherries, which are smaller in diameter, darker in color and possess slightly softer flesh compared to the Turkish Napoleon variety. Turkey is the biggest producer and exporter of cherries in the world. With 2000 tonnes of exports in 2006, CENA is among the biggest Turkish cherry exporters.

It´s flesh is firm and crunchy. The berries are juicy and very delicious with an aromatic taste. | Cherry season in Turkey typically continues from the middle of May to the end of July. Cherries can be stored up to 1 month without loss in quality under ideal conditions (using modified atmosphere bags at +1 degrees celcius). Available sizes are 24+, 26+, 28+, 30+ mm in diameter for Turkish Napoleon. For standard Napoleon type, there is 22-26 mm single size, 24 mm cherries being abundant in the compilation. |
